What to do at BottleRock for those who are not drinking

The BottleRock music festival in Napa Valley is right in the heart of some of California’s best wine country. As such, the festival will feature a number of wineries in addition to other fermented affairs. Caymus Vineyards, Emmolo Wines, Aperol, Bulleit Bourbon and Don Julio Tequila are but some of the incredible intoxicating options for those 21 and older.

While the festival appears to be catering to an older audience, people below drinking age (and those who just don’t want to drink) should not fear, as there are plenty of fun experiences, dining options and opportunities for the more non-alcoholic crowd. So for everyone who does not need alcohol to have fun, here is how to make the most out of a day at BottleRock.

Listen to music

While this is definitely obvious, the musical performances are not to be taken for granted. Being of a clear mind allows the audience to better appreciate the talent on stage, or at the very least, appreciate it in a different way. Not only can someone gain a newfound respect for the festival’s huge headliners like Stevie Nicks, Queens of the Stone Age and Ed Sheeran, but they can also be more attentive and maybe find their new favorite band from the selection of smaller artists such as The Moss, Colony House or The Beaches.

Shopping

BottleRock is not only home to incredible music but also shopping opportunities as well. Before attending one of the festival’s many stages, swing by the Eargasm booth. Eargasm is a premium earplug brand designed to protect people’s ears without taking away from the musical experience. For anyone looking for that extra piece to elevate their fit, Beautiful Soul Jewelry sells just that. Instead of being ladened down with layers throughout the day, buy a hoodie from Aviator Nation who will be selling exclusive festival co-branded merchandise.

Non-alcoholic options

Although the “Bottle” in “BottleRock” isn’t referring to water, there is an impressive number of craft non-alcoholic beverages. Since alcohol is not an option for some attendees, coffee is a great alternative that some consider equally, if not more, addictive. Ohm Coffee Roasters is a great way to start the day with one of their many lattes, americanos or cold brew. Good Times Alc-Free is the official non-alcoholic provider of the festival who brings their passion for booze-free cocktails to wine country. Other providers helping people create memories they can actually remember are Open Water, a crispy and clean sustainable water brand; Waterloo, authentically flavored sparkling water; and Athletic Brewing, a non-alcoholic beer for those who don’t drink but like the taste of beer.

The Spa

In between all the performances, shopping and “drinking,” it’s important to take time to relax. The Spa is attendees’ one stop shop for everything rest, refresh and rehydrate. Massage Envy provides full-body massages to visitors who are weary from the hustle and bustle of the festival. Rapid Recovery Hydration Station Solutions provides IV hydration, vitamin infusions and injections to keep people energized all festival long. Shampoo & Chardonnay is the festival’s braiding and hair bar. Paradise Lost Tattoo Studio & Gallery and Henna Fairyy let festivalgoers leave a mark they won’t forget. This and so many more unique experiences are being offered at The Spa.

Williams Sonoma Stage

Live music isn’t the only exciting event taking the stage at BottleRock. At the Williams Sonoma Stage, celebrity chefs like Alton Brown and Aarón Sánchez team up with some of the biggest names in entertainment. This year’s guests include Stephen Curry, Cameron Diaz, T-Pain and Neil Patrick Harris, among others. Watch as these actors, musicians and chefs take on one of the hardest tasks of all: making food for other people.
