Honeymee

@honeymee
Location: 11301 W. Olympic Blvd., Suite 104, Los Angeles, CA 90064
Hours: 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. (weekdays), 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. (weekends)

If you want a pure, natural and organic taste while indulging in a sweet treat, Honeymee is the way to go. They are a Californian soft serve joint that offers “true milk” with honeycomb chip toppings. Their menu is very simple, consisting of two main flavors, true milk and matcha true milk, but there are a variety of toppings: coffee, chocolate syrup, caramel, honey and the classic honeycomb chip. Adults and kids alike are able to satisfy their cravings without indulging in something overly sweet.

Bumsan Organic Milk Bar

@bumsanorganicmilkbar
Location: 534 S. Western Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90020
Hours: 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Monday-Thursday), 12 p.m. – 11 p.m. (Friday-Sunday)

Perhaps the most Instagram-worthy location on this list, Bumsan is a cute pink and white interior-decorated spot in Koreatown that offers perfectly swirled soft serve cones. This joint offers organically sourced dairy flown in from a producer in Korea. Their menu features a total of six flavors, with a few featured ones: true milk, taro milk tea, matcha and chocolate. Their seasonal flavors rotate throughout the year — flavors like pink guava, pineapple mango, maui maui, dragon fruit lychee and more. Their toppings include a variety of cereals and syrups, allowing you to create the most picture-perfect swirl to post on your Instagram story.

Salt & Straw

@saltandstraw
Location: 8949 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069
Hours: 12 p.m. – 11 p.m.

According to Bon Appétit, this ice cream joint has amassed a “cult following reserved for ‘80s movies or indie bands.” With one of the longest menus on this list, Salt & Straw has flavors that appeal to everybody, from Jasmine Milk Tea Almond Stracciatella and Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons to Marionberry Coconut Sherbet. For more adventurous eaters, they have flavors like Arbequina Olive Oil, Pear & Blue Cheese and other seasonal flavors that rotate in and out.

Kith

@kithtreats
Location: 8500 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069
Hours: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Monday-Saturday), 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Sunday)

Interestingly, this ice cream shop is a subsection of a retail clothing store that sells apparel and shoes. But its popularity in selling treats and desserts has made a name for itself both in LA and New York City. The various flavors have different cereals mixed into the ice cream, and their portions are known to be a great deal for the price. You can choose from their menu’s signature items, such as the Bam Bam and the FlatWhite, or you can do a build-your-own — your choice of cereal mix swirled with ice cream.

Saffron & Rose

@saffronroseic
Location: 1387 Westwood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90024
Hours: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday), 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. (Friday-Saturday)

The Saffron & Rose brand was crafted in 1974 with the aim to bring Persian ice cream to the U.S. Their first shop was opened here in Westwood! They have an ever-expanding menu inspired by flavors from all over the world. The menu items include Taro and Ube, Green Tea, Green Pistachio and Pink Rose, but they are most famous for their Saffron Pistachio Ice Cream — hence the name. Persian ice cream is known for its soft and velvety texture, so this place is definitely worth a try!
