As finals season rolls around and students fill up regular study spots like Powell and Kerckhoff, an adorable study break can be just what students need before they ace their exams. In Ackerman Union on the A-level, in the BookZone, these furry best friends can be found. Various therapy organizations such as Pets Unstressing Passengers (PUP) from the Los Angeles Airport bring their pups on their best behavior for students to unwind with. Stopping by one of these events on campus can be a quick and easy way to decompress and re-center yourself.

Energetic and Happy Cosmo wags his tail joyfully as he makes new friends with UCLA students. Cosmo is a Cavapoo who loves anything to do with humans, playing, being pet, or even eating their food if they’ll let him.

Sporting his festive hat for the March holiday, Preston enjoys the chance to help the students of UCLA. After working as a service dog for nearly three years, Preston retired to his present job as a therapy companion, and he always loves the chance to make new friends and keep helping people.

PAC therapy dog and Bart has been a long time best friend to many UCLA seeking a finals reprieve. Bart is a Brussels Griffon and loves getting to bring some peace and serenity to his friends in the midst of finals.

Dressed to the nines and radiating swagger, American Staffordshire Terrier Rusty brings a calm and collected energy to the Ackerman BookZone. His sweet but shy demeanor may be less energetic than some of the younger pups, but it never fails to bring comfort to students who meet him.
