Workshops at the MakerSpace (various dates in January)
Last on the list, but certainly not least, be sure to stop by UCLA’s MakerSpace on The Hill in January and sign up for their free creative classes! The MakerSpace is located right across from The Drey and is open to all UCLA students. You can sign up through their Eventbrite and partake in workshops such as Intro to Laser Cutting, Intro to 3D Printing, Custom Vinyl Cutting and more (based on past offered workshops). Aside from their special workshop tutorials, you can still visit the space any time and explore your creative freedom with the tools and materials they offer at no cost!
No matter where you are on campus, you can always find something fun to do. Don’t be afraid to read those pamphlets in your dorm lounge or grab the flyers passed out on Bruinwalk! We hope you visit some of these wonderful January recommendations and have a great rest of your winter quarter, Bruins.
