UCLA men’s tennis continues fourth win in a row against Wisconsin

The UCLA men’s tennis team has continued their winning streak, making Friday night their fourth win in a row against Wisconsin. At Nielsen Tennis Stadium, UCLA defeated Wisconsin 4-0 within the Big Ten conference.

The Bruins (12-8,10-2 Big Ten) had dropped the first doubles match but came back with a win from Aadarsh Tripathi and Spencer Johnson on court two, beating out Wisconsin’s Michael Minasyan and Patrik Meszaros 6-3.

On court three Emon van Loben Sels and Gianluca Ballotta were noteworthy as they got the opening point. The duo has grown to 10-2 since March 9.

UCLA further continued into singles having the same drive. Alexander Hoogmartens came back fast from his doubles loss having a 6-1, 6-4 win. Van Loben Sels soon after followed having his second win and ninth singles victory.

Kaylan Bigun was noteworthy on court three, having clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-1 win.

UCLA will finish its season at Nebraska on Sunday, where the first serve will be at 10 a.m. at Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center.
