The Dodgers celebrated Women’s Night in the home of Dodger Dog wieners. Between iconic costume characters and a loud and lively crowd, there was no shortage of excitement in the stadium tonight. Women discussed their favorite players, ball-food hot takes and played kiss, marry, kill with the team’s legendary big three: Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Many men, on the other hand, struggled to name five women. However, their new 16-inch long, pound full slab of meat drowned in white sauce and corn, paired with a pound of french fries and fittingly named “The Slugger,” was the real star of the night — who could forget a beef stick like that? Other fans were excited to watch Ohtani in action, who opened the Dodgers’ offense with a home run and helped the Dodgers sock the Marlins 15-2. Always a party, the crowd roared wildly and danced along with him in shimmering blues at the home plate. Dressed out in cozy Dodgers sweatshirts and jerseys, attendees seemed all too ready to celebrate with the success of the team, and were just as excited with every scoring hit. The stadium highlighted women throughout the night, starting off with a rock-star national anthem performance by Nita Strauss, the lead guitarist on tour with Alice Cooper. The players’ walk-up music on the field tonight was chosen by none other than their significant others, with fan favorites like “Party in the USA,” “Pink Pony Club,” “Stacy’s Mom” and “Dancing Queen” stealing the show. The game tonight was one of vibrance and excitement all around while honoring women in and out of the stadium.
