Are you a Los Angeles native or a student staying on campus for summer sessions? Do you desire to explore your fashion affordably while killing time? Look no further: the Los Angeles community is home to endless secondhand clothing stores, especially around campus.

UCLA Thrift Shop

Within a ten-minute drive from campus is the UCLA Health Auxiliary Thrift Shop, selling secondhand and new high-quality clothing at bargain prices. While you benefit from expanding your closet, you will also be helping UCLA Health programs and patients, as all proceeds go toward supporting them!

Along with serving affordable looks, UCLA Thrift serves various programs, such as Bloodmobile, People Animal Connection and the ICU Patient Clothing program, through donations of over $10 million.

If you end up on Sawtelle Boulevard, be on the lookout for this shop and buy a variety of jewelry, cashmere, furniture and art!

Goodwill Southern California

Santa Monica is filled with many restaurants, beaches and clothing stores, including the Goodwill Southern California Store. Also a donation center, Goodwill is a non-profit chain with a variety of secondhand clothing and houseware!

Along with a variety of merchandise, there are a handful of discounts that occur daily! Known as the Weekly Color Tag Sale, you can get 50% off from Sundays to Wednesdays and only spend $1.99 to $2.79 from Thursdays to Saturdays!

On the way to Santa Monica Beach, feel free to pick up some affordable beach clothing from Goodwill Southern California!

Buffalo Exchange

Want to try on vintage looks in the vintage streets of LA? Buffalo Exchange has just that: a hip chain that buys, sells and trades trendy merchandise and accessories!

With accessible street parking in between North Hayworth and North Fairfax Avenues, walk into a vintage wardrobe where you can feel Y2K! If you aspire to sell your own wardrobe, feel free to visit BuffaloExchange.com/How-to-Sell for inquiries.

For seven days a week, walk along the iconic Melrose Avenue and march to Buffalo Exchange!
