The Echo pulsed with energy on April 24 as Australian band Girl and Girl opened for Naked Giants’ “Shine Away Tour 2025.” Based in the Gold Coast, Australia, the band has gained momentum for their emotionally raw songwriting and garage rock sound that blends vulnerability with intensity. Their performance set the tone for the rest of the evening, quickly drawing the crowd into their world.
They were followed by Seattle-based trio Naked Giants, who took the stage performing songs in support of their latest album “Shine Away.” Since forming in 2014, the band, composed of Grant Mullen, Gianni Aiello and Henry LaVallee, has carved out a name for themselves with their genre-blending style, infectious energy and dynamic live shows. Their set pulled from across their discography, including fan favorites from “SLUFF” and “The Shadow,” and in between songs, the band would rock out with extended instrumental jams. Guitars shredded, drums crashed and the crowd matched their energy, with headbanging and mosh pits breaking out throughout the night.
Together, Girl and Girl and Naked Giants delivered a night that was loud, electric and completely unrestrained.
