Laugh Factory:
With their first comedy club opening on Sunset Boulevard in 1979, The Laugh Factory quickly became one of the best in LA’s comedy scenes. Over 40 years of providing top-tier laughter has led the club to grow into a world-famous comedy venue and collaborate with many big-name and aspiring comedians to create unforgettable nights. Come by to grab some food and laughs!
The Laugh Factory is also always on the lookout for the next great comedian as open mics are consistently available at select locations in Hollywood, San Diego, and Chicago. Check out this link to learn more about times and parameters.
The Comedy Store:
Located in West Hollywood, The Comedy Store is the world’s first all-stand-up comedy nightclub. Co-founded by Mitzi Shore, who “possessed a special quality of being keenly able to spot raw talent,” the club grew to become a haven for comedians to grow and mentor others. Recognized as more of an “artist’s colony,” according to Shore, than a venue, it continues to support both veteran comics and rising stars.
Their open mic, known as Potluck, takes place on Mondays from 4:00–5:30 p.m. Check out this link for more information.
Hollywood Improv:
Hollywood Improv is a long-time, esteemed stand-up comedy club just 20 minutes east of Westwood (along Melrose Avenue), known for top-tier, A-list talent. The Hollywood Comedy:
The Hollywood Comedy is recognized as a newer addition to the LA comedy club scene. Despite this, the venue has quickly gained recognition for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to showcasing emerging comedic talent. Their comedy shows are designed to carry a homey, more intimate dynamic between the audience and the stage. Located on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, this space is vibrant, community-driven and open seven days a week, hosting daily open mic nights and weekly comedy shows.
