On May 3, BeachLife Festival’s second day brought a vibrant mix of classic and contemporary sounds to Redondo Beach. The Pretenders, led by the iconic Chrissie Hynde, delivered a dynamic set that resonated with fans both old and new. Sublime, now fronted by Jakob Nowell, son of the band’s late frontman Bradley Nowell, captivated the audience with its signature blend of ska, punk and reggae, performing beloved hits like “Santeria” and “What I Got.” The day’s lineup also featured performances by CAKE, Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles, Skip Marley, Sugar Ray and Long Beach Dub Allstars, creating a sun-soaked, genre-blending celebration of Southern California’s rich musical heritage.
